Serious question: to survive extreme cold, is wrapping two naked people together in warm coverings proven? I heard this on TV, and I thought it was ridiculous, but now I'm thinking: I'm talking about extremely cold situations, like hiking on a mountain in Alaska or some other extremely cold environment. Let's say the outermost extremities were still protected by clothing, shoes, socks, etc. But they went without shirts or pants and maintained constant body contact while wrapped together in warm waterproof fabric, wouldn't they benefit from the shared internal body heat? Think about it: when it's cold, and you touch someone's shoulder for example, wouldn't their skin feel really warm to you even if they say they feel cold?... Read More »
